The LOVE of my life

This week was my birthday...... for those who follow our family blog you know that she and the kids have been "celebrating" my b-day all week. It has been very nice to be the center of attention for a little while, and have them all express their love. There truly is no institution on the earth that is higher than family, and I love mine with all my heart! When Ginny and I first started our courtship so many years ago, I was not aware that she would one day be my bride. And as time marched on we became the closest of friends. Kissing friends:) When I walked into the Safeway in Chino Valley AZ., where she worked, after my mission, every cell in my body leaped for joy! I knew then that she was my soul mate, and that to be truly happy in this life and the next I must marry that girl.....so I did! and I have never looked back. Ninny, I never lived until I knew you. I love you more and more with each breath I take, each moment we share together. Thank you for becoming my wife, bearing our children, and sharing your life with me. I am inspired to be a better man because of you, you really are a lovely daughter of our Heavenly Father and I will love you forever. Matt

I decided to post some of the other pictures that I took the last couple of days. It wont be long until all the leaves are gone and the ground will be once again covered with snow.

Country or HICK

Im not sure if this could be considered country or hick. Brittan and Cory were playing out back when I noticed that they were taking all the chickens out of the coop and placing them on the jungle gym to roost. Hillbillies!:) Gotta love em. This is what we do for fun in the country.

Reflections

I know, I know.......it has been a long time since I have posted, something about work and paying bills that has kept me from my camera. I've missed the scavenger hunt for a while, but here is my latest entry on reflections. The sunset was taken at Big Lake at about 12:30 at night, and the other is a small pond on the way to one of my jobs.

Old Slides

I went through some old slides and found these cool pictures. The first one is my Mom, then me, then Bruce and me. I'm pretty sure these were all taken in 1979.

Red Shirt Lake Hike

OK so today we inaugurated summer with a 6+ mile hike to Red Shirt Lake. It was a beautiful day, and we had a lot of fun. Kenna said that I was only aloud to take one picture every time we stopped walking ( I think I was stopping too much;)). Any way here are some of my favorites. The second picture still has last years dead vine leaf structure hanging on, and this year pushing forward.

Memorial Day Shoot

Cory and I went outside and took some pictures.... He is so cute.

Sunday at Gradma and Ponkas

We went out to the Grandparents house today for a BBQ, and on the way I had Ginny drop me off to take a couple of pictures at the creek by their house. This is the only one that I kind of liked. We had a great time playing pool and eating way too much food.
